There isn't one single "Florida Medicaid long-term care" program — there are two delivery arms sitting on top of the same eligibility rules. The Institutional Care Program, or ICP, is what pays for a stay in a licensed Florida nursing facility.

Sitting alongside it is the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care program, or SMMC LTC, which is the managed-care engine that actually distributes benefits — everything from in-home aides and adult day programs to assisted living services and nursing facility stays itself. Both pathways draw on the same financial and medical eligibility tests, according to the Agency for Health Care Administration's description of the SMMC Long-Term Care Program.
