For 2026, New Hampshire's published long-term-care guidance sets the countable-resource limit at $2,500 for a single nursing-facility or CFI applicant. When both spouses are applying, the combined resource figure rises to $5,000; when only one spouse applies, the applicant is held to the $2,500 figure while community-spouse protections can apply to the rest of the couple's resources.

On the income side, that same 2026 guidance sets a $2,982 monthly income cap for a single applicant in nursing-facility Medicaid or CFI, doubling to $5,964 monthly when both spouses are applicants. New Hampshire also maintains a medically needy spend-down pathway, so someone whose income sits above the cap shouldn't necessarily treat that as a final denial — it's worth asking DHHS whether the state's current "In and Out" rules could apply instead.
