Delaware Medicaid Long-Term Care

The Division of Medicaid and Medical Assistance, part of Delaware's Department of Health and Social Services, runs the state's Medicaid program, and its long-term-care umbrella covers several distinct services: Medicaid Nursing Facility Care, Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services, up to 30 days of acute-care hospital services, out-of-state rehabilitation-hospital services, the Children's Community Alternative Disability Program, and various SSI-related programs.

The Nursing Facility Program specifically covers stays at Delaware nursing facilities that contract with Medicaid. DMMA describes these facilities as providing room, board, and nursing services to residents who are elderly, infirm, or disabled, and directs anyone applying to go through the Medicaid Central Intake Unit.
