Georgia Medicaid Long-Term Care

Medicaid in Georgia runs through the Department of Community Health, which sets policy for the whole program, while the actual financial-eligibility decisions get made at the county level by the Division of Family and Children Services (Georgia Department of Community Health; DCH Medicaid Managed Care).

Most Georgians on Medicaid are enrolled in Georgia Families, the state's mainstream managed-care plan — but that program isn't where long-term care lives.
