# Oregon Medicaid Asset Limits

Last updated 2026-10-20

**Quick answer:** Oregon's 2026 Medicaid resource limit for long-term care is $2,000 for one person. Married applicants are assessed under spousal-impoverishment rules instead of a doubled limit, and the home-equity limit is $752,000.

Oregon's baseline resource standard, per ODHS's July 2026 OSIPM/MAGI comparison chart, is $2,000 for a one-person need group seeking long-term-care services. That chart also flags the community-spouse provision as a separate consideration, so the $2,000 figure by itself doesn't tell the whole story for a married applicant.

Unlike some states, Oregon doesn't publish a simple doubled resource limit for every married household. Instead, when there's a community spouse, the state applies its spousal-impoverishment resource-assessment rules (OAR 461-160-0580) — which is why adding two individual limits together doesn't produce the right number for a couple.

Oregon's 2026 rules also set a $752,000 home-equity limit and rely on the federal 2026 Community Spouse Resource Allowance range for married cases, both of which factor into a full asset picture alongside the $2,000 individual standard.
