# Nevada Home Care Medicaid

Nevada offers more than one path to receiving long-term-care services at home instead of in a facility. The best known is the Home and Community Based Services Waiver for the Frail Elderly, commonly shortened to the FE waiver, which is designed to help older Nevadans stay in their own homes rather than move into a facility. ADSD is upfront that enrollment depends on identified need and — critically — available funding, so this isn't structured as an open-ended entitlement the way nursing-facility Medicaid effectively is.

Beyond the FE waiver, ADSD also runs a waiver for people with physical disabilities, and CMS's factsheet for Nevada lists a third program, the Waiver for Structured Family Caregiving, which covers case management, respite, and structured family-caregiving support for people who meet a nursing-facility level of care. There's also a separate waiver serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which operates outside this cluster of aging-focused programs.
