# Missouri Medicaid Asset Limits

Last updated 2026-10-20

As of the July 2026 Eligibility Standards, Missouri sets the resource maximum at $6,220.50 for one aged or disabled person and $12,441 for two. That same figure — $6,220.50 — applies both to Vendor Care after a Division of Assets and to Home and Community Based services after a Division of Assets.

These are countable-resource ceilings, not a guarantee that every asset in a household counts against them. Missouri's spousal-impoverishment guidance notes that non-exempt resources get counted without going through a Division of Assets, and it lists the home, personal belongings, and a car as examples of exempt assets. Whether a particular asset is exempt, available, jointly owned, or tied up in a trust is a program-specific question that needs its own review rather than a blanket assumption.
