# Alaska Medicaid Asset Limits

Last updated 2026-10-20

A current Alaska eligibility reference sets the countable-resource limit for a single Nursing Home Medicaid or HCBS waiver applicant at $2,000. When both spouses are applying, the combined limit rises to $3,000, while a single applicant with a non-applying spouse still faces the $2,000 figure. These numbers apply specifically to long-term care — they don't substitute for DPA's month-by-month determination of exactly which holdings count.

That same 2026 reference reports a $2,982 monthly income limit for a single Nursing Home Medicaid or HCBS waiver applicant. An earlier 2025 Alaska elder-law presentation cited a $2,901 gross-income limit and noted the figure adjusts every January, so families should rely on DPA's current live limit rather than an older presentation or a generic national chart.

## Alaska figures

- 2026 individual resource limit: $2,000
- 2026 combined resource limit (both spouses applying): $3,000
- 2026 monthly income limit: $2,982
- 2025 gross-income limit (superseded): $2,901
